PAYMENT: Personal checks are accepted if received 30 days prior to date of arrival. Checks should be made payable to "The Cabins at China Lake".
MAIL: For your convenience, we collect mail at the Office and bring it to the China Post Office. Stamps and envelopes are for sale in the Store during regular Store hours.
Maine Fishing Licenses: You may purchase your Maine fishing license on-line before your visit. Visit the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife website at http://www.state.me.us/ifw/index.html. Be sure to review the Maine freshwater fishing regulations before fishing. If it is more convenient for you, Maine fishing licenses may be purchased after your arrival at the camp.
ROW BOATS, CANOES AND KAYAKS are available at no extra charge. You may sign up for use in the Office at the start of your stay or during the week. Life preservers are available at no extra charge and we ask that you use them appropriately.
The following is a list of general information that may be helpful during your stay. We appreciate your cooperation.
ALCOHOL: Alcohol is not allowed in the Candlewood Lodge or any other public areas. Alcohol is permitted inside cottages only. Maine legal drinking age is 21. Please remember that this is a family camp and the use of alcohol is discouraged.
NO SMOKING:Smoking is not allowed in any building, including cabins, or any other common area. Smoking is allowed in designated areas only. Our cabins are not equipped with sprinkler systems, so for both health and safety reasons this rule will be strictly enforced.
CELL PHONE USE: To help maintain the peaceful atmosphere of the resort, please do not use cell phones in any public areas.
GRATUITIES: Employees are paid with the understanding that individual gratuities are not required. However, guests who wish to reward exceptional service may do so at the Office.
PERSONAL VALUABLES: Guests are responsible for their own property. We encourage guests to leave valuables at home.
PETS:Your pets are welcome at The Cabins at China Lake in agreement with our pet policy.
QUIET HOURS: Many of our guests come to The Cabins on China Lake to experience a peaceful and relaxing environment, and many have children who go to bed quite early. We ask all guests to observe quiet hours between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m.
VEHICLE USE AND PARKING: Vehicles should be parked in designated parking areas. Specific instructions will be given to guests upon arrival.
BEACH: The Cabins at China Lake has a sandy beach and over 350 feet of waterfront. Children should be supervised by an adult. Please be advised that The Cabins at China Lake does not have lifeguards. Swim at your own risk. Please do not swim alone.
The Cabins at China Lake operates on a FULL AMERICAN PLAN. The plan includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight accommodations. Please note: There is no credit given for meals not eaten at the resort.

DRESS CODE: The dining room dress code is relaxed and informal. For the comfort and health of all, we would like to remind guests of the following dining room dress code: no bathing suits or bare feet at any meal. Casual sportswear is acceptable for all meals.
SPECIAL REQUESTS AND NEEDS: Please notify the Office or Dining Services of any special dietary needs you may have. We will do our best to assist you. High chairs or booster seats will be provided at your request. Dining Services will prepare birthday cakes for a minimal charge with at least 24 hours notice.
DINING REMINDER: Please see that young children are supervised at all times by an adult in your party. Be aware of hazards such as hot urns, sharp utensils, swinging doors, etc.
BOX LUNCHES:To receive a box lunch, orders must be placed during the dinner the day before needed. You can pick up your box lunch at the dining room between 7 am and 9:30 am.
