Pet Policy
Here at The Cabins we are all about family vacations. For many of us, our
family includes our dear pets. We also realize that not everybody is a pet
lover or wants to share their vacation with someone else’s pet. And some
people have mild to severe allergies to pet dander. For these reasons, we have
a fairly strict pet policy. We ask that you respect these rules, for the well-being
of all our guests.
- You must submit proof of a current rabies vaccination with your registration
or when you arrive. There are no exceptions to this policy!
- Pets are not allowed in the lodge.
- Pets are not allowed to roam free on our grounds. Dogs must be kept on
a leash (except when swimming).
- Dogs should not be swimming in the public swimming area. Please take your
dog swimming to the right of the dock.
- Please don’t allow your pet to relieve itself on the grounds, and
if it does so, clean up after it. We have woods across the street where you
can take your dog to go to the bathroom. Be mindful of where people might
be walking.
- Excessive barking is not allowed. If your dog is barking because it is
left alone, someone in your party will need to stay with your dog.
- Dogs are not allowed on the beds or furniture. Crates are mandatory. Pets
should be kept in their crate when left alone.
- Please don’t let your cat scratch our furniture.
- If your pet uses a litter box, please keep it clean.
- We have odor neutralizer spray available, should your pet have an accident
inside our cabins. Please ask for it at the front desk and use it on the
soiled spot to keep our cabins from developing pet odors and to keep future
pet “guests” from soiling the same spot.
- You are responsible for any damage to our cabins caused by your pet.
- We reserve the right to ask you to kennel your pet at a nearby kennel
if it is deemed a nuisance.
- A security deposit of $100 is required for guests traveling with pets.
It will be refunded at the end of your stay.
Thank you for your cooperation.
